Around the Table
A Bagel Brunch, Without the Fuss.
The best brunch setup lets people make the breakfast they want. A few good choices and an easy flow do more than a table crowded with everything.

Build a Useful Assortment
Start with a familiar plain option, a seeded favorite and a third choice for variety. Put spreads and toppings on the side so everyone can choose. Ask about dietary needs before ordering, and confirm ingredients with the store rather than guessing from a product’s name.
Set the Table in Order
Plates first, then bagels, then spreads and toppings. Give each spread its own utensil and an easy-to-read label. Put coffee and drinks at the other end of the table so pouring a cup doesn’t stop everyone making a bagel.
Bring Out Smaller Portions
Keep cream cheese and other cold perishables refrigerated until serving. Hold them at 40°F or below, using ice when needed, and refill with fresh dishes instead of topping up old ones. Discard perishables left out more than two hours, or one hour when the temperature is above 90°F.

Make the Pickup Plan First
Before you order, have the guest count, pickup time and any other food you’re serving ready. A bagel breakfast and a full brunch need different quantities. Call the store you’ll collect from to confirm the assortment, portions, preparation time and current price. That leaves you one less thing to organize on the morning itself.
